Not Brave, Just Faithful

It's hard to believe that we are at 30 weeks. Looking back, it didn't possible that I would try again, much less make it to the 2nd and 3rd trimester and even more unbelievable that we would be decorating another baby room in anticipation of our newborn.

Once people learn our story, they typically call us brave. After having multiple miscarriages, I am sure most people must have thought we were more than brave, they must have thought we were crazy. Going through the mental and physical exhausting of a first trimester pregnancy once again was crazy but we are faithful. We believe in a God with a perfect plan. A God that want to prosper us and bless us. He knew the desires in our hearts and all we could do was pray, wait and hope that this time, it was God plan for us to have another child.

We also had a great support group that week after week would pray for us and for our child, asking God that if it was His will, that we would be blessed with a healthy pregnancy.

So here were are celebrating that we are at 30 weeks and praising the Lord for this opportunity. We don't take any day for granted. We still take it day by day and week by week.

Elizabeth has also been patiently waiting for her baby brother. She asks me daily "Mami, did the baby come out yet?" - and I just smile back and tell her tell her "Not yet." - "Mami, the baby has to grow bigger?" - "Yup, it has to grow bigger."

Baby boy, we are patiently waiting for you to grow bigger and to welcome you into our family when you are ready to "come out" :-) as Elizabeth would say.
